Why is this Section Even Relevant?
I think this section is relevant to the entire project in many ways. As the makers of the website, we should not only do the project, but also explain it's value to us, why we chose a certain idea, etc. To do this, we thought that you should know a little bit about us and our perspective on the project! Of course, we won't be making a huge autobiography of some sort, since that isn't relevant, but we feel that a little bit about our intentions could go a long way on how you interpret anything from the images we selected to the text we've written.

Why I did Science:
I chose science because it is a subject that I've grown to favor, so choosing something I excel at would make things easier. At first I wanted to do an art piece, but then I realized that it would be impossible for me to explain why I created what I did since I can't really express every single process of thought I had. Doing science was much easier because there was really no need to go in depth with thought and feelings when all I had to do was research and explain biomes. To tell the truth, I don't like all parts of science, mostly just the wildlife and habitat part, which is why my topic is on biomes. I find wildlife to be very interesting because I hope to be a zoologist or a vet in the future, which is why this project helped me so much. Learning more and more about wildlife just gets me even closer to achieve my dream. For me, creating the project wasn't all that hard, but presenting it is what I'm mostly worried about. For future students who have to do this project, my advice would be to do a part of this project that you know you want to do instead of listening to what your group members picked for you. This project has taught me a lot and I hope that it will greatly benefit future students. |

Why I did Art/Music:
I chose art/music for many reasons. Art and music are both something that have very few limits, and it allows creativity to spread. When I first got other, the first thing that came to my mind was writing a song, but I didn't have the nerve to do it. Even though I'm not going to write a song and sing, I do still think that there are a lot of things I can still do. For example, I love to draw, and I also love dresses. So why not draw Buttercup's dress? Of course, it would have to be a significant dress, and what's more important than her wedding dress? Even though I do love art and music, I do also like History, and Science, and Math. I didn't pick these, however, because I think that not only do the others in my group excel in those subjects more than I do, but I think my creativity could go a long way if I do art and music. Despite my opinion, maybe someone could do a really creative math piece. You should never think that just because you have an academic subject, you can't make it creative and exciting. It's all about how you interpret your cross-curricular piece and the project itself. Doing this project really helped me learn how to do a lot of things, and create something out of nothing, and I hope to do something like it soon. |

Why I did Math:
I chose math because I feel like it would be better for me to choose something I truly excel at. This will make the project easier and more interesting for me. This will also allow me to provide a well written and explained math piece. At the beginning, I was enraged because of the fact I got math. The reason being I wasn't sure how I am suppose to start on the project. I wondered for days still confused. Therefore, I started to ask myself, "What interested me the most the book?" Then the six-fingered sword came in mind. I started to elaborate more on the math part for the project. My tip for future students doing this project is that the math part might look boring at first glance, but try to find fun in it. It is possible for you to make it fun by looking at this project with different perspectives. That is what I learned during this cross-curricular project. I realized many important things. I realized math can be fun and important in everyday life. Solving the equation one by one is like solving a mystery. |

Why I did History:
I did history because I find it really interesting to see what the world was like back then. Seeing that this is a book that took place in the past, how hard could it be? It was actually really difficult. I didn't exactly know what to do my project on, but I luckily did get an idea. However, there was not enough information! I got really stressed out and went back to the list we made when we decided what part of cross curricular we were doing. Then inspiration struck! I was able to finish my part in 2 days, when I had pondered about it for weeks. I think the most useful thing students should know is when you think something is easy, it's probably not, so be prepared to work! Through this project I learned about something I have had an interest in, as I was also able to learn more as well as educate others further. This project taught me about working with others and being able to coordinate ( with great skill)! |
